Quote The biggest complaint comes from the bait-and-switch reveal of the Mandarin, who is actually revealed to be an actor named Trevor Slattery. But Marvel Studios followed up this revelation with the One-Shot short film All Hail the King, in which Trevor goes to jail and receives a threatening message from the REAL Mandarin, none too happy with the thespian's attempted identity theft. Now, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed that they are planning to follow up this plot thread in a future project, though he wouldn't reveal any more information. The revelation came during his Ask Me Anything thread on Reddit, where he also shed some details about Avengers: Endgame and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We don't know when the real Mandarin and the Ten Rings will actually show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The terrorist organization hasn't been seen since the first Iron Man movie, when Obadiah Stane hired them to kidnap Tony Stark. But there are a few projects where the characters can pop up, and one likely candidate could be the Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It should come as no surprise to know learn that one of these fans took the opportunity to ask him about the franchise's future, specifically in regards to the introduction of new characters. Feige said it wouldn't be long before we knew what was to come. The question Feige was asked was actually a three-parter. The user asked him if there were any Marvel storylines he thought were "unfilmable," if making movies changed the way he enjoyed comics, and if there was a character he'd been itching to introduce in the MCU. Here's how Feige responded: "1. Everything is filmable nowadays. It's about finding the most resonant character stories to bring to the big screen." "2. Not really, I still like to read the comics every week from a fan's point of view." "3. You'll know soon enough." Of course that didn't come with a direct answer about what character Feige wants to bring into the franchise, or when we could expect to see some announcements about the future. But it does bring hope to the curious. With San Diego Comic Con in just a couple of months, and D23 not long after that, there are a couple of big opportunities for Marvel announcements in the near future. "As we've been doing for years, we aren't going to announce anything post-Avengers: Endgameor Spider-Man [: Far From Home] until post Endgame and Spider-Man," Feige told ComicBook.com earlier this year at a Captain Marvel press event. "As you know as a fan, there's a tremendous amount of potential and a tremendous amount of additional characters and storylines and groups of characters that we're going to keep playing with. And again, that's a testament to Marvel and to the amount of storylines and characters and amazing, amazing runs that have been in the Marvel comics." Well, what you probably don't remember is that Starr also made an appearance in The Incredible Hulk way back in 2008 - and Feige has now confirmed that it is indeed Spider-Man: Homecoming / Spider-Man: Far From Home character "Mr. Harrington" who also appeared in Incredible Hulk! Roger Harrington (Starr) appears in the Incredible Hulk as a nerdy student working in the computer lab at Culver University. He met Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) when Banner disguised himself as a pizza delivery guy to infiltrate his old lab at Culver in order to do further research on a Hulk cure, as well as reconnected with his estranged love, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler). In a a deleted scene from the film (which you can watch below), Harrington gets weird on Banner, when Banner offers him the bribe of a free pizza in exchange for wifi access. It's not only funny to know that this deep-cut connection exists in the MCU, but that (as you can see), Harrington's offbeat and aloof personality has been a running gag in the MCU since the very beginning. He still gets high points for this darkly comedic quote from Spider-Man: Homecoming, which clues us into just what kind of life Harrington has had: "As you know, we made it out alive," Harrington says after Peter Parker's decathlon team nearly gets killed in the Washington Monument.
