When I was younger, so much younger than today, I never needed font assistance help in any way.

But now I've done research I'm feeling insecure - I know that I, aint got them right, so I'm looking for support.

Help me if you can pin these fonts down. Cos their type face leaves my face with a big frown.

Help me get these details off the ground.

Won't you please, please help me - help me, help me-ee-ee-ooh!

:)

Marvellous, thank you Davids! They have font detectives I see. That'd look good on your dating profile wouldn't it

"Tall C" sucks doesn't it Maurice. I'd much rather refer to the types by actual font if I can :wishluck:

Not what you're actually asking for, but with the thread title I was unable to resist posting this.

(Good luck with your search.)

All right.  Let's stop the tomfoolery and get back to the OT shall we?

For what it's worth, #15 was printed with the big C.  #17, 18 and 19 (as examples) were printed with the small c.  It would appear that #16 is some sort of transition issue - someone deemed it necessary to have two versions printed.

Did the printing plate incur damage part way through the print run?

Did the small c somehow get lost part way through the print run?

Hard to imagine that someone would stop the press run just for cosmetic reasons.

Hard to imagine that one version was a test market printing.
