Before submitting books to CGC for grading what guide or service is recommended to determine comic value??

I imagine most people use Overstreet. You can also check sold items on eBay, and look at online dealers websites.

Watchcount is a good site to track eBay sales and also lets you see actual accepted bids when it's less than the original offer price

Yeah I just search the comic in ebay, select sold items and view what it has actually been selling for. A little more digging is usually required. A CGC graded 9.0 will sell higher than someone selling a raw copy they claim to be in the 9.0 range.

If you are curious about a book grade, post pics in the Hey Buddy Can You Spare A Grade forum on here. Generally, the community here is accurate in nailing down a grade. Then, check ebay for CGC sales in similar grades. That way, if and when you get your book graded and if you are selling you have an idea of the value.
