Hi all,

As the title says, please help me grade my Marvel Mystery Comics #2!

Published by Timely Comics back in Dec. 1939, this issue features the 2nd appearance of the Human Torch and the Angel!

The cover is hanging on for dear life by the top staple (basically detached cover). 5 1/2" spine split. Detached centerfold. Moisture damage, but otherwise really nice presenting, low grade copy. Mostly ow/w pages.

Not sure exactly where though. I'm thinking a 1.0? The spine had been sealed with glue at some point and the glue has been removed, so the book is unrestored. Small amount of paper at spine and 1st wrap was scraped away when glue was removed.

The book looks SO nice and the spine isn't completely split. I feel sure it grinds out a 1.5.

Love the interior shots. Great pickup.

Gonna have to agree with Point Five on both... Awesome book. 1.5 or a PGX 9.0.

Amazing just to see this book in any condition at all! I've never seen one! Photos of its famous predecessor yes, but this is amazing! Thanks for sharing! I also believe it could grade at 1.5.

Front cover eye appeal alone will get it to 1.5 despite the other issues. Great early Goodman book.
