You lying sack of potatoes.

I don't get drunk much, but when I do.....

I'm actually kinda surprised I didn't create more hostility/nonsense/trouble for myself.

I'm calling you a liar because of your "2,999th post will be my last" spiel.

You can never be trusted again.

I always thought the X-Men had transcended sex just as they conquered death. No Men, No Wo-Men, just X-Men. There are no male mutants, or female mutants, they are all just mutants.

Out of curiosity, is there a core member that hasn't died at least once?

Does 'Days of Futures Past' count?

Brie Larson round two ;-) I don't know how these people get into these positions, do they realize comic characters are fictional, they're meant to be fun, not used for your own personal gains, or political agendas, beliefs.

Victoria Alonso has been a producer with the MCU since Iron Man. That's pretty strong cred, imo.

Comic books and movies, like other art, aren't meant to be just mindless entertainment (that's what torture porn is for). Besides entertaining, they can also make us think, they can teach, they can elevate our world view, they can be a testament to the best (or the worst) in us, and they can reflect the times. Steve Spielberg used to make mindless entertainment, but now also makes movies that can make us think. Writers like Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Chris Claremont, and yes, Stan Lee, showed us that that the comic book can be something more. Go back and read the first year of the 1968 Silver Surfer series written by Stan Lee.

As a form of art, comic books can be a tool for change for the better.

Here, Hollywood try this:

Write an original story with crisp dialogue, two solid plot points.....oh, forget it.

One of my wife's friends said something like she's glad Spiderman is now a woman or whatever the latest PC bastardization is now of his character that she heard about on NPR and I responded, "Well, are you buying the comic now that Spiderman is a woman or asian or black or in a wheelchair or is trans or..." and she said, "No." and I said:

WELL NO ON ELSE IS!

By the way....there has been a female member of the X-Men since the first issue. Almost everyone reading this knows that, but I bet Victoria Alonso doesn't.

And there have been stretches where the team was primarily female.  After the initial 5 and the reintroduction in GSXM after around issue 129, the team has been basically evenly split.

The joke doesn't work if both NoMan and myself are Troll 2.

The first one you replied to (NoMan) should have had this poster.

Yes a world view, but not a personal view, it anyone wants to do that, then they should do it with their own creations and try to make it into something and not jump on the back of a ready made success.

It's like one of us being put in charge of DC films and then you trying to push your personal beliefs into the mix.

Create your own franchise and do with it as you will. Don't try to change what others worked hard for and made successful, that's what dictators do, "they are wrong, I am right, what I say goes".
