With books like this and the Spidey #36 you posted, you can always search ebay completed listings and get a rough idea of the market value for your book as is. If it's a $40-80 book in its current form, it just won't make sense to put another $50-100 (CGC fees, roundtrip shipping, etc) into getting it slabbed.

Just a bit of info about pressing and cleaning, Pressing won't do anything for colour (Canadian spelling) breaking creases etc.. once the colour is gone nothing can do except doing restoration and taking a PLOD label (most don't want this) and for cleaning it does not help water damage it just removes dust or grime that has been built up. I've seen some people do Dry cleaning using erasers and Mr Clean magic erasers but I think that might put it in the restoration category not sure on that one.
