.....around a hundred or so?..............that would explain why i've only ever seen one...............and i have been actively collecting iron fist comics for some time.......

.......never sought out the variants though (never realised how rare they were), always just looking for high grade copies of the books........... grin.gif

Just remember that rarity and high value don't have to go hand in hand, but in the case of IF 14, I'd be willing to pay some cash.

Personally, I find it humorous that a regular IF 14 at CGC 9.8 goes for over $2K, but the highest known IF 14 35-center sells for $1500 (although it did get a bif of $2300 against reserve). That makes no sense from my POV.

.........is it just because the variants are known to relatively fewer people?

.........it is now common knowledge among investors/ specs that cgc 9.8 is the 'investment' grade to get......... confused.gif

.........the variants probably have the real investment potential for bronze books................perhaps we should stop talking about them now............... grin.gif

Yeh I brought that up at the time, CI. There was a BIN IF 14 9.8 going the same time as the IF 14 9.2 variant..the BIN was used for 2,800 dollars..and the variant only went for 1,500..pretty laughable when you're basically buying the 9.8 for it's perceived "rarity"..
