What's your opinion on these new storylines and not your prototypical superheroes?

They are independent comics. Most indpendents are not based around superheores. Naomi looks to be a superhero getting put into the DC fold.

Have you read any of them?

No

But I check out gocollect.com

And they seem to be fast risers

Especially Oblivion song

And a guy on Instagram mentioned that Pearl had been optioned for a movie.

I read the first 6 issues of Oblivion Song and got bored.  I think independent non-superhero titles just aren't my thing.  That or it was Kirkman's writing.  Take your pick.

You should read the comics instead of just trying to find something to flip and make money on.

Die is a good read, and with D&D back on the rise, there's a lot of interest in it.

Oblivion Song did start off slow but I have enjoyed the world building.

I can't speak to Pearl or Naomi as I havent read them.

So are you looking for recommendations for reading then? If so, it probably helps to share what you like. Just because someone else thinks a book is a good read doesn't mean you'll like it.

This pretty much sums up the new collector. You will lose your :censored: unless you starting reading the books
and making informed decisions based.(Print runs, Popularity, Potential, Cover art and so on.)

Stop listening to other sites that are only telling what they want you to buy or speculate on. Everything is
being optioned for a movie lately. Join a group of like minded comic speculators and pay attention to the
ones that show you sales and trends.(Not just talk which is all many do.)

I would agree

And I'm starting to wonder how much of an impact movies really have

Like fa of mystique isnt that valuable

Rai 0 pretty cheap

I mean movies I've noticed that have helped are

Ironman 55 thanos

Ba 12 harley quinn

But if a comic has its standing power it will do it on its own

Naomi is pretty solid.  But I do feel like the hype has surpassed the content.

Oblivion Song is so-so.  It's definitely been much better in the latest arc.

Pearl is my favorite from this list.  Cool art and interesting story.

I can't speak to Die.

Valiant movies are way under the radar for the average comic fan. Once the first Bloodshot trailer hits, the book should pop.

LOLing a bit at "on the cheap."; I have 4 9.8s and 2 9.6s (and a number of additional ungraded copies) that I got for cover price or less (before grading fees).

I was a Valiant fan since the launch of Magnus, so I got all of the pricey pre-Unity books for cover (except Harbinger 4, which sold out before I could grab one)

Oblivion Song just got picked up by Universal for a movie.  Probably explains the uptick.  I started a little late to the series but was able to back fill 1-5 at cover price just a couple months ago.  Now I notice #1's price is already 2x-3x the price.  Ive personally loved the series.
