I really liked the show, one of the few things I have watched that I was continually surprised by. I thought it was a great blend of 60s and Morrison

Yeah, I was very into the stuff they chose to use from various runs of the comic, but also their own take on the team and the characters. I think I mentioned this over in the TV forum, but the version of Rita from the show is by far my favorite take on the character.

Apparently it has its own panel at SDCC, so maybe they'll announce a second season.

This is on the board elsewhere but this thread seems like the proper place to post a scan with all of the fine company hereabouts.  I'm surprised a thread for this book wasn't started before now, especially after the TV show was announced.  Great idea, @shiverbones!  You have rectified a tremendous oversight, one which threatened no less than the very reputation of the board itself!

Has anyone seen any copies graded higher than 9.0 sell recently?  I know there aren't many in the census but I would expect at least one to go up for sale unless they are in the hands of the hardest core collectors.

MGA 80 is such an awesome Silver Age key. Just think about how many SS keys there are with black covers? Showcase 17 and OAAW 83 are the others. Marvel’s major SA keys have none that come to mind from 1961-1964.

Nah, I'll cut that three years in half.  I thought about getting back to you sooner but, since apparently you and I are the only people left on this thread, I thought I'd better spread it out a bit, make it last. 

I continue to be amazed at how few of these books there are in high grade (I think there's one more 9.0 since I last looked at the census) and I never see one sell.  That must be the very definition of rare.

Now that the TV series has come to a premature end, I guess it's time to binge, start over watching from the beginning and watch all the way through.  Has anyone watched the entire run?

Allegedly they will be releasing the final episodes of the show at some point, although I'm still skeptical. They're shot, and when asked directly James Gunn claimed they were in the pipeline but who knows - I wouldn't be surprised if they're just waiting it out until everyone forgets and moves on rather than stirring up bad feelings during the transfer to Gunn.

So, they have what... six more episodes that haven't streamed?  The last episode I saw was the season 4, episode 6.

Is ASM #28 the first full black cover at Marvel? (ST 110 is more of a TKO winner as it’s for a lot of non-black border).

I think eggplant purple was early Marvel’s black — ASM 11, DD 7.
