Going to be listing an eclectic group of books over the coming week ... the thread will likely linger for several days as I balance finishing up the semester with the thread ...

The Rules:  

  • No hos/probs;
  • PayPal preferred, e-transfer okay in Canada;
  • Shipping via Canada Post within Canada for the first 5 raw books is $10.00, shipping to the US via Canada Post for the first raw 5 books is $15.00; after that, will depend on package weight; International: please PM for shipping costs.
  • No returns on the slabs
  • I'll listen to reasonable offers ... don't hesitate to PM. If we reach a deal via PM, I'll mark books SOLD as soon as I can, but if another boardie beats me to it, then he/she is the winner!  Thus ... the first :takeit: (or variant thereof) in the thread claims the book(s) and trumps ANY negotiations via PM!
  • I’ll send out invoices within 2 days (or sooner) of the thread’s closing.  Please provide payment within 2 days of invoice date.
  • Returns/refunds: I provide lots of pics, so please have a close look before buying; if you see something glaring that was not in one of the pics, let me know within 2 weeks of receiving the book(s), and I'll gladly refund (shipping on you, and books returned in the same condition they left my cave) ...

Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories 98 (11/48); 4.5-5.0; 1st Uncle Scrooge in WDC&S; very nice Walt Kelly cover with some Barks’ art in the story titled “Foxy Relations”; fc issues: spine creases with a small tear around bottom staple, small tear right side underneath broom; bc: raised chip; $65.00

Yellowjacket Comics 8; 7.0-7.5; another gorgeous book with popping yellows and greens; flaws: another small chew bit bottom left corner, and a small tear on last page; beautiful Battlefield “woman-in-peril” cover; “old witch” narrates 2nd Tales of Terror story; $165.00

Web of Evil/Baffling leftover readers! There’s tape, there’s creases, there’s detachment, there's tears, BUT they’re still amazing books with amazing stories, averaging 2.0-2.5 for all 10 books; lot includes Baffling 16, 19 & 26, and Web of Evil 2 (a 3.5 sold for $251.00 last month!!), 6, 7, 9, 13, 16 and 20; asking $300.00 for all 10! I have detailed pics for each individual book listed below-don't hesitate to PM me if you'd like to see them for one/some/all of the books. The individual write-ups ... :news: SOLD to kazoo

  • Baffling Mysteries 16, 2.5, complete; a signed Lou Cameron story inside; fc: cb creases, spine roll; bottom staple has popped a little but holding; bc: dirty, some tears, pencil scribbled on the inside.
  • Baffling Mysteries 19, 1.5-2.0, complete; despite the creases, crinkling and sticker residue near the top of the “A” in “Baffling”, George Roussos’ cover is still amazing; paper tears at staples; external/internal staining; chip out at bottom of fc.
  • Baffling Mysteries 26, 1.5-2.0, complete, last issue in the run; cover holding at bottom staple; spine roll; significant staining on fc/bc; cb creases.
  • Web of Evil 2, 2.0; complete; cover detached at first staple, barely holding at bottom staple; spine split several spots; more Jack Cole art inside
  • Web of Evil 6, 2.0-2.5, complete; tape along the spine; small stain on the 2nd last page of “The Man Who Saw Doom” story; cool fc date stamp; bc chipping/small chunks; more Jack Cole art on the cover and inside.
  • Web of Evil 7, 2.0-2.5, complete; 3 pieces of tape over 3 small tears on fc; large cb creases, fc; partial date stamp showing in “W” of “Web”; a few stains on the bc.
  • Web of Evil 9, 2.0-2.5; complete; colors are still fairly rich on the fc; a stain (upper right fc) bleeds through the book;  bc tears, one of which is held together by a piece of tape; last page also has a tear.
  • Web of Evil 13, 1.0-1.5, complete, but rough; tape on a split spine; fc: chunk missing top right, lower left, some tears; bc: chunk missing, lower left, some tears; some stains.
  • Web of Evil 16, 1.8, complete, but cover detached; 2 pieces of tape along spine of cover; some tears on the fc; despite its flaws, the book probably shows closer to a 3.5-4.0.
  • Web of Evil 20, 3.0-3.5; complete; the second last issue in the run has one of my favorite covers, a classic dino cover! cb and non-cb creases on the fc; small tear upper middle, some staining on the bc.
