They are talking about interior pages. Scanning the inside pages is not recommended

I'm not sure I fully understand the question, but the page quality designation "White Pages" refers to the color of the pages themselves...

Haha I know right. I realise it isn't perfect (e.g. it doesn't even list cream pages) but I do find it it be a good approximation.
