Wow such great stuff so far. I think I’m torn by either the holy grail, king tuts tomb or the Mona Lisa (the original not the fake that’s hanging in the louvre museum in Paris)...

Yes, as the 1966 Marvel gum I am keeping 'til death do us part' may prove fatal to chew:

Well at least that’s still a part of comic collecting and not something entirely new...hm

It's not one thing, but I love my complete set of original Mars Attacks cards more than any comic I have.

Me too, but I include my collection of Topps trading cards over ANY comic books. They were my gateway to comics and have been in my OCD mind longer....left more of a 'scar', if you will!

Just so you know, you'll get a lot more for this if it's slabbed as opposed to selling it raw! :roflmao:

Joe

Probably not worth slabbing as it has a number of color-breaking creases.  It's nice, don't get me wrong, but I'd hold out for a higher-graded one.

My father was an American soldier captured in WWII Battle of the Bulge. When he was eventually freed by allied forces, the POWs were allowed to pick one item out of a nearby nazi warehouse (similarly overrun by these same allied forces), and bring that item back to the states. I’ve since come to understand there is a collectibles market for WWII German war items - crazy!

Some guys took SS uniforms off mannequins.  My father chose this officers dagger

p.s. This is why I’m a Timely war cover nut

My dad was also captured at the battle of the bulge. He told me they had barrels full of guns, knives, helmets and many other items. He was allowed to choose 2 items. I still have one but he let me play with the other one and I eventually destroyed it. It was a cool flashlight that generated it’s power by pushing a lever back and forth.
