PGM X-men #50 GRADE IS IN!!!(detached staples partly) 2 2

Hopefully the scans do justice, X-men #50, First 3 wraps detached at top staple, CREAM!! Pages   hardly any spine ticks though..... top right front corner missing piece...?

Green Label/Grade? Blue Label possible/Grade?

the faint line that goes from top to bottom through the "X" in X-men, I believe is a scanner mishap, don't see it on the book... hmmm

I don't know much about staple pulls in regards to grading, which is why I recommended he ask @TwoPiece

i figured it was too low a grade that the staple pulls wouldn't matter too much but idk

3.5 blue label for sure.  0.5 can have missing pages and other drastic problems.

Lol the thread of horror stories in comics general  made me think about this gem of a book priced at $15 at the LCS early last year

I didn't inspect in store, got home, and ahhh man!

it doesn't really fan, but with staple pull, i didn't line up straight in the scanner

Seems accurate. Id guess somewhere between 2.5 - 3.5. Maybe the staple defect would matter more if not for the 2 front corner pieces missing. I think those missing pieces get hammered. The relatively clean back cover and the spine would cushion the impact of the staple. I'd love to see graders notes and the grade for this!

If not for the staple and missing corners it looks like a 5.5 or maybe even 6

When it affects the inner wraps - yes. I further degrade for that.

Agree with these guys, 3.5 feels about right with the staple issues and chips/creases. Presents well but not a book I would submit.
