As I hear the fireworks going off across different cities I am reminded of some of my favorite July 4th evenings. Back when Phil Seuling had his annual July 4th NY Comic Con we used to go up on the bus, or the train or later we might drive. After a long day at the show we would head back home to suburban New Jersey via one of these transportation modes. On the way back if we happened to go up on the actual 4th we would be treated to fireworks going off along the road as we passed a variety of towns and cities putting on their own shows. Fireworks meant I had a big bag filled with fun old comics that I would get to look at the next day! Thanks Phil for so many great memories!!
