Bought a book thru the HA auction site. Considering signing up for the "somebodies made an offer" featue. Wonder what the pros and cons are of signing up for this service.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Pros. Someone may offer you crazy money for an item you won

cons. You may have to deal with offers that are below what you want to let it go for but Heritage has a minimum someone can offer which is higher than you paid.

The pro is that you too could be lucky enough to get a crazy offer like this and be able to make more than $150K or more than 3 times your initial outlay in less than a week's time:

So the upside is that you may help someone launder money?

No, the upside is that you'll be able to stuff an extra $150K into your jeans.  (thumbsu

The downside will be borne by Heritage as you'll suddenly realize that it's all about money laundering and like the good citizen that you are, report it accordingly.  But only after it's safely stuffed away and the authorities or Heritage can't legally get their greedy hands on it anymore.
