Fantastic show, kudos to Terry and his staff, the Westin is a good venue. 

So many collectors, so many books! Buying, selling, trading... very happy with everything.

And, of course, seeing fellow boardies (always a pleasure to meet and chat).

Finally, a shout out to the dealers who participated and put forth the effort to make the event a memorable one.

What an awesome convention.  Terry, thank you very much for your efforts and contribution to the hobby.  Here are some general pics of today's event:

Here are my personal observations of the convention:

Pros:

1.  Bigger dealers room, spacious aisles, very nice hotel.  General area is very nice, upscale and clean.

2.  Plenty of parking right across the street at the covered garage or some free parking across the street at South Coast Plaza.

3.  Quite a few restaurants in the area.

4.  If you get bored, head over to South Coast Plaza and see how the ritzy people shop.  As an example, there is a store called "Forever Twenty One Hundred".  OK, not really, but that isn't too far from the truth.  Very nice mall, though.

5.  Lot's and lot's of books in the room.  I sometimes wonder if SDCC was like this in its heyday.

6.  Lot's and lot's of great conversations with fellow boardies.

Cons:

1.  The room could use more light, but I get the impression it will be corrected for next year.

2.  I brought plenty of cash, but it wasn't enough.  I guess this isn't Terry's fault.

The joint was PACKED and rocking all day long. I still had willing customers all the way until closing. I did REAL well as a seller. Must have brought what the people wanted or priced it right. Saw a ton of boardies. Was talking to some one how if everybody went to shows like this there would be no more wars. 

People came to buy. Here is one of several stacks of GA/SA that left my boxes...

Thanks to Terry and all his hard work. It was quite the party!

Fun was had by all. I picked up a ton of books, met up with some of you guys, and even got John Dolmyan to sign my bosses Toxicity album. Win win in my book.

Great video and noticed the nice T-shirt from the slopes of Whistler here.  

When was you up here in the nearby Whistler area and is this part of a regular winter trip for you?

We come up for a week or two every summer to hike and eats lots of good food. I first went in 1995, and haven't missed a year since.  Whistler feels like a home away from home to me.

New ballroom still has some dark parts. Nice to have 3 malls, Chic-Filet and Trader Joes within 5 block walk. Thanks to Carbo for paying for our group dinner at Great Bear dîner. Handed out well-received comic book conservation flyers to vendors and forumites.

Great show as always! I left the event around 1130 to restock on some bags n boards at a LCS and a quick bite but couldn't make it back because my tire ran into a surprise pothole by the I-405 which I thought the tire just flatten but the actual wheel broke! Spent a couple minutes putting on the spare donut and headed home because all tire shops by me were closed!
