Buy what you enjoy. Read the comics. You will eventually know what is good and what sells.

The only handout I'm going to give you is that the DD #2 is overpriced by about $300-500.

Deadly foes of spidey...$70?!?

Pick a movie coming out in 14 months. Buy from that property's first appearance source material. Double your money in a year. That's what everyone is doing now, only as the movies are announced. The increases come sooner too but pick a movie that far away and you should do ok. (shrug)

from your list I would take she hulk and gambit and be done with it

the 266 better be 9.6/9.8 at that price though

Without knowing the grades on those books, you can't really say. New Mutants 98 would have to be at least a 9.6 to be worth considering at that price.

Am I missing something about Deadly Foes? The only book I can think of is the mini from the '90s and I thought that was dollar-bin fodder.

Judging by your list...NM #98 and silver foil Action #1 gave it away...I can guess the store you're talking about.
They now price books via eBay using sold listings.
(The raw NM 98 for $325 is more than a joke.)
Gone are the glory days of buying books priced via guide.
Especially with the 50% sales happening every 6 months.
You'll only get the jump on them the day that news breaks; even then you'll be competing against anyone else.
