I'll be curious anxious to see how this affects the more affordable range. I've been meaning to pick one up for years, might need to step it up and back-burner some of my other priority books.

Roughly 10 years ago, there were none.  Finally one emerged and it was big news.  I think pressing played a big role in getting that number as high as it is.

I remember a couple of years ago a Boardie told a story of going into his LCS in the 1980s and the owner trying to push a B&W new release on him.  The Boardie relented and bought it.  Turns out it was a TMNT #1 that came back CGC 9.8.  Anyone remember this?
