Anyone else having problems buying tickets on ticketmaster for Terrificon?  I get an error when trying to buy tickets on any of 3 devices (desktop, laptop, phone w/ ticketmaster app).  Otherwise the only other option is buy tickets at the box office that opens at noon?  The day starts at 10AM, so would prefer to get in at the beginning.  Seriously poor planning / execution on the part of Terrificon and /or Ticketmaster.

Tickets can be purchased at several comic book stores in the CT area, you should have bought them in advance. Poor planning on your part?

I was there Friday so I'll give my take on the show from what I saw/seen.

I got there Friday at around 1:30pm and the line is so long it's unbelievable. I texted a dealer whom I press books for and said "The line is literally 6 miles long and I'm at the end of it" He texted me back "I'll come get you" gives me a dealers bracelet and say "ok, lets go". :)

Get in, give him his books and I take my stack over to CGC and they take me right away from drop off.

So then I start walking around real quick from dealer to dealer for a peek to see what dealers have on their walls.  I did pick up a super nice FN/VF copy of Scooby Doo #1 early on. I'm looking through more books and asking to see this and that, books are very overgraded and dealers want an arm and a leg for them. One dealer had a Detective 880 Raw on the wall for $475.00. I can buy them all day online for 150-200.  Every dealer had an ASM 300, again high prices for VF copies.  I understand the dealers travel costs, time, hustle to find inventory, while I found a lot of nice books, I can't justify paying $200 for an ASM 252 with color breaking spine creases. A few local dealers were there and ended up buying a DRK Returns set, Watchmen 1-12 set and a few other things, ASM 316 I picked up for 60 looks like it could be a 9.8. Thor 390, 2 copies of Black Widow 1 (1999) + Variant. Got a nice deal on a 9.0 ish copy of All Star 58 + Gi Joe 21 and DRK 1.  My buddy Eric couldn't find anything he wanted or was interested in picking up. He was out priced and so was I, Convention pricing is like going to Disneyland where they charge you $20 for a bottle of water.

I'll probably go next year since it's local to me. I was just there for the comics, don't care about the celebs, autographs, sketches, cosplay, action figures or anything of that nature. Nice show overall, just wish the comics pricing was better.

Thanks for the report Kevin. I heard from many dealers that Friday was crazy busy and most of the big deals were made within the first few hours of opening time.  I was luckily able to make it in Saturday morning and ticketmaster was back up in the morning, so I was able to buy a ticket before heading out.  As for planning in advance, the nature of my work doesn't allow me to plan ahead as I could be called in on short notice, so it makes no sense for me to buy a ticket in advance.  There was no wait or line when I arrived late on Saturday morning.  I also noted that many of the "hot" books were priced pretty exorbitantly, but those were mostly silver and bronze Marvel keys, so that was pretty much expected.  One book that shocked me was a Giant-sized Defenders #3 (first Korvac) CGC 9.6 for $1300!  That was a $50 book 6 months ago prior to the announcement that he would be the next big bad in the MCU.  Crazy stuff.  I spent a lot of time chatting with some sellers that I know, and got to meet other sellers and collectors at the show.   Part of the fun of going to shows is the camaraderie and conversation.  I did find several decent deals on some nice GA books and will post some pics soon.  Shout out to some great sellers at the show: Steve @Golden Memories, Rob @ Moving Pictures Comics, and Al @basementcomics

Was there on Saturday and agree with other comments already listed. Dealer prices were VERY aggressive. Almost to a point where it was embarrassing to make what I thought was a reasonable offer, for fear of offending the dealer and stunting any negotiations before they even begin.

Went on Sunday. Artist Alley was fantastic and was able to get some inexpensive sketches and autographs. Filled a long box for $75 at the end of the show with my buddy from one dealer. Didn't really spend any time in the vendors' section otherwise.

Attended with kpaqu1 on Sunday. Seemed less crowded than last year, but that was a plus in my mind! Was able to get 2 live sketches from Barry Kitson and Tom Grummett, plus prelims from Greg Hildebrandt and Barry Kitson. Still my go to Big Con for New England! The free parking, reasonable ticket price, creator guests, and choice of food options and slots from the casino make it outstanding!

Well said.  And, they don't come much nicer than Barry Kitson.

Anyone know how to find out future cons the Joe Giella will be at? I know he is gonna be at Indiana comic con but I cant make that with such short notice. However, with enough know ahead time, I can make almost any con possible. I just need to know how to pin him down.
