myboyluke
Hi Gang - need some advice. I recently picked up The Pro #1 CGC 9.8 SS signed by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti for next to nothing, but alas the case is cracked in the back (see image). I intend on selling it as I have no real interest in the book, and I am wondering if re-slabbing it is worth it? The integrity of the book is maintained, it is really just cosmetic for the case - they had stuff piled on it.
theCapraAegagrus
I doubt that any potential buyers will be satisfied with that case unless you offer a great discount. If you advertise said discount, with full (and obvious) disclosure of the case damage, then someone may not care about the crack.
Krismusic
Generally buyers don't want cracked slabs as they would have to pay some costs for re slabbing it so they would want a discount as @theCapraAegagrus mentioned. I would look at the cost to re-slab and what it sells for and check your profits and go from there.
