Detective Comics #32 (1939)

CGC 4.5 VG+

OFF-WHITE TO WHITE pages

Slight (A) CGC notes "moderate tear sealing to cover, spine splits sealed"

6th appearance of Batman

Most likely my final offering of this book before I resend off to CGC. No color touch or added pieces, cleaning etc should garner a Conserved grade these days in the current holders. Impossible to find these early tecs in decent shape with nice pages for under $5k these days!

If Centaur = Timely = Marvel, this is arguably the first Marvel hero on newsstands.

Interesting point, and it is a sort of legacy book in another sense as well...there's a note in Marvel Premiere #15 in which Roy Thomas admits Iron Fist is basically his homage to Bill Everett and Amazing Man.
