This is an incredible sales thread!  I don’t think most people on these boards know how tough a lot of these are in any grade!!  Keep ‘em coming! :headbang:

I don't collect them, but appreciate the covers and history behind them.  It seems like most copies that you see are dog-eared, if not chunks coming off.

Wow, what a show!  This is an amazing display/sale of high grade Weird Tales, particularly all the early issues and the Brundage Conan keys.  You rarely ever see them in this condition, especially in a single collection (and for sale)!  Would love to see the spines on these beauties as those are often destroyed on these fragile pulps.  RedFury bringing the heat :golfclap:

Terror Tales (UK Edition), January 1941 (or later)

F

This British edition has no number or date on it that I can find, but it appears to be similar to the January 1941 US edition, so I'd guess this was published sometime in 1941.

The girl in the iron mask?  And check out the hot rivet!

Ka-Zar, Vol 1 No 1, Oct 1936

VG  This issue, when it turns up, is usually low grade.  This is a nice solid mid-grade copy with a mostly clean cover image, good deep colors, and some gloss.  Small piece out of bottom edge, and some edge wear.

Ka-Zar was Martin Goodman's attempt to capitalize on Tarzan.  It only lasted 3 issues, but when Goodman got into comic books in 1939 with Marvel Comics #1 he dipped back into his pulp roots and included Ka-Zar in the issue.  Not only that, but the story in that first comic was lifted right from the story in this pulp.  Pretty cool, huh?
