DETECTIVE BOOK MAGAZINE, August 1930. Scarce "oriental menace" cover that would look right at home on an early issue of Detective Comics... though it predates those by 6-8 years (!). Spine splits at top, page corners are getting chippy/brittle though the book is reasonably supple overall. Cool cover. You might never see another copy.

ZIP COMICS #22 COVERLESS/CFO COPY. Reader/filler copy of one of the hottest wartime Zips -- a five-figure book in midgrade if you can find one at all. Coverless, missing the centerfold, some wear and tear, but otherwise complete with supple pages. Comes with a facsimile cover wrap as shown in 2nd pic (front & back cover, blank insides) wrapped around the book.

Lots of cool war stories, but the reason to have this one is The Black Angel story... awesome early female character concept and the story itself is a delight. Comes with a facsimile cover wrap (front & back cover, blank insides) wrapped around the book.

DONALD DUCK'S ATOMIC BOMB. Wild Carl Barks story in this uncommon giveaway with a funky format... Disney apparently blacklisted it from reprinting in later years due to the content. The upper right corners of the first few pages have slight fanning... otherwise it's a nice copy, probably 5.0/5.5 or thereabouts.

PLANET COMICS #4. Awesome early "rivet" Planet! The centerfold is missing and the book has slight-to-moderate resto on the cover (tear seals, minor C/T) and a discreet spine split up to the bottom staple. Other than that, a quite nice lower-grade copy with unusually zingy reds (the central spaceship has weak orange color strike on many copies). The blue background looks better than in my digital photo. If you've watched with envy as those four-figure Planet #4s sell in Rick's threads every other week... well, this might just be the book for you.

BETTY AND VERONICA #40 in 3.5/4.0. Classic GGA cover. Absolutely electric cover colors. Slight moisture contact to right edge resulting in faint rippling (worse in scan than in hand) and scattered light stains. Super eye appeal for the low technical grade.

MISTER MYSTERY #16 in apparent 2.0/2.5. Tough PCH book with a fab GGA bondage cover. The cover wrap is cleanly detached at the staples, and there are discreet hits of color touch along a long crease in the bottom right. Black glossy cover, has the eye appeal of a higher-VG copy overall.
