Is this normal for GA books? 0

[Motor City Rob]

I am trying to learn as much as possible about Golden Age books. There are so many strange things I am finding that do not look normal to me, but I am learning that some things are normal. In this example on the inside front cover there is discoloration around the entire printing of the inside cover. I was originally concerned that someone may have re-glossed the cover and this was the result. Has anyone seen this before?

Yes, a very common flaw for vintage books---not just Golden Age. This isn't severe at all. In fact, it's one of the things I like to see to help determine that the book is authentic. I hope this helps, Motor City Rob...

And most of the cover re-glossing I've seen doesn't look natural at all; it sticks out like a sore thumb...
