Make me an offer for the lot. These books are all bagged and boarded and have never been read. They are all in fantastic near-mint to mint condition with no flaws or defects to speak of. I don't know a whole lot about comic books anymore because I have not really collected any comics since the early 90's. I'm not really sure what all of these books are worth but I'm sure some are worth more than others. They have all been safely stored away for many years and I was quite the picky collector when I was younger. Every last comic book in this auction is in flawless condition or at least pretty dang close. No spine creases, no blunted corners, no rips, or anything of that nature. You will not be disappointed with these books. I'm not a comic book seller or dealer and I don't have any pictures of the books. I simply made an inventory of all the books in my collection and listed them below. Shipping will most likely be fairly high depending on where you live. I would imagine it would be somewhere around $50.00. The box is so heavy that I can hardly lift it. Anyways, if you're looking for an instant collection of MINT comic books, then this is the auction for you. All books are first prints. I can only accept money orders. Thanks for looking.

What did I do wrong?

 

We are experienced buyers. We seem to weed out the weird deals and avoid them. You need to send a few pictures if asked, or post a few, and the $50.00 postage thing may be correct and it may only be half of that. I was looking at an auction today that had a 5.00 handling fee in addition to 8.50 postage. It was for three comics. Some poor fool is going to bid and get hit for 13.50 in postage and handling.

 

Split up the group, post some pictures. Find out what it really costs to ship books. I am shipping 150 books to Spain for 34.00. That's Spain and it's a heavy box.

 

I just shipped 150 books media mail in the USA for less than 7.00. Priority Mail in flat rate boxes, which hold a ton of books, would have been 15.00 or so. $50.00 is scarring of the real buyers.

I wasn't bashing Red, was just saying. Perfect opportunity for someone to come on here and rip people off. The whole no pictures and money order only thing would generally get someone ripped on ebay as well.

 

 

You know what Russ.....I breezed through the first post too quickly. I think your concerns were merited, and I hope he takes the good advice offered him by the board.

OK, enough beating around the bush here...

 

The chances of all these books being 'Mint' are a million to one, if not greater. Not sure what grades they might be, but without trying to offend, I will guarantee that they won't be 'Mint'.

 

If you're serious about trying to shift them, you will need to post up a few high res scans so that the folks here can get a steer on what condition they actually are.

If you don't want them, you don't have to place a bid.

 

I actually have no desire to have them whatsover, unless they're going for 2c a book...which is about current market value. I'm actually trying to give advice that will help get you more interest and, possibly, take care of some of the wariness the other boarders feel.

 

You don't want to take it, that's fine...I'm sure you know best.
