PLANET COMICS #4. Awesome early Planet! The centerfold is missing and the book has slight-to-moderate resto on the cover (tear seals, minor C/T). Other than that, a quite nice lower-grade copy with unusually zingy reds, supple pages. IMO, tough to find an early rivet cover this nice, this cheap.

$350

PLANET COMICS #67 in 2.5. Or perhaps later Planets are your thing. :D Great lower-grade GGA cover; book has wear but an unusually vibrant color strike.

G.I. JOE #29 in 3.0. Nice Ziff-Davis bondage cover picked up from Jimbo. Spine split at bottom staple but doesn't go down to bottom corner; bottom staple detached; 2" curved piece out of one page's margin. Cover presents better than grade.

$45

DETECTIVE BOOK MAGAZINE, August 1930. Scarce "oriental menace" cover that would look right at home on an early issue of Detective Comics... though it predates those by 6-8 years (!). Spine splits at top, page corners are getting chippy/brittle though the book is reasonably supple overall. Cool cover. You might never see another copy.

MARVEL MYSTERY COMICS #39 in 1.8/2.0. Classic Schomburg WWII cover. It took me a long time to find a low-grade copy of this book that presented this well. Colors are terrific and the cover has the dynamic feel of many of the pricier covers (#40, #44, #48 etc). Cover wrap is detached from the book, and has a discreet split traveling about halfway down the spine; the rest seems solid. The top and side edges of interior pages in the front half are a bit ragged, like there were some siamese pages roughly separated (lots of interior pics in spoiler tags below). Complete with offwhite pages. Very cool book.
