The Pinterest pet peeve really speaks to me.

"This art does exist somewhere... somewhere."

I just don't understand what is happening from a computer science perspective. What is the code doing in the background to show you this hopeful thumbnail then link you to some other vaguely similar image . Who puts this stuff on Pinterest anyway.

8.  People who renege on deals.  Someone reneged on a deal with me a while ago for some clearly made-up reason, and, over the ensuing couple/few years, would e-mail me to keep him in mind if I ever sold this piece or that piece, etc.  Uh, no, please get a clue - YOU ARE DEAD TO ME

:roflmao:

Or do some sort of other unsavory, unethical thing they know they shouldn't and after a couple of years try to reconcile as it is "water under the bridge."

-No, I burnt the bridge :flamed:, also don't leave comments on my art, it's a hassle to go in and delete it. :gossip:

The one I am experiencing right now is when you pay a lot of money for something and yet the owner is completely inflexible over the smallest and most insignificant details as though you handing them this money is such a chore doh!

Hmm. Not a pet peeve of mine, but I'm curious if other people get upset at perceived hoarders of runs. I thought I may have heard some people were miffed at Mike B. for having lots of Romita Spidey, for example.

For the most part I admire it.

The incessant and in poor taste nudity on CAF is also a drag. I used to check this site at lunch  but no more. If the wrong person is walking by you are dead meat. Wish there was a way to filter results (maybe there is and I don't know about it).

You can skim it withou unobtrusive emails on Comic Art Tracker.

I agree with you about lousy nude art. Let's not forget out-and-out soft porn, either, like a close up of the sex act.

1. No matter how much I collect, I am still going to die.

Following up on that: No matter how much you love your collection, your wife and/or kids are probably going to sell it all off when you die.

Just curious, but does "making an 'insultingly low' initial offer to buy something you are advertising is for sale," at least from the perspective of the one selling, constitute an "unethical" or "unsavory" act that would get you blackballed?

Not in my opinion, but I wouldn't suggest that approach as a good M.O. as it has it's own repercussions.

I'm talking more about someone you've known long before the OA hobby that:

- Buys something on the CGC boards you told him you were working out a deal with the seller on. Then sells it 4-6 months later because he needed the money for a new shiny object.

- Says he isn't bidding on an item because he knows you are going after it than snipes it.

Nothing illegal and something every hobbyist has a right to do. Just acts that I won't accept from a "friend"  YMMV
