Help identifying quesada DD page 1 1

Hi

 

I found this in a french comic shopand i m surprised to see a quesada DD page here..also, it s on a pagevthat is a bit thinner than an usual page, and there s blueline on it, but i don t know if quesada used blue pencils on his pages

 

Do you think it s the real deal (don t ask in which shop, i won t tell as i don t want some one to get it before me)

Difficult to say if it is the actual original art but it certainly looks like it.

If these are authentic, he never used blue ink on that page. The blue in the images you have posted looks odd to me. Intermittent. It doesn't look like blue pencils inked over. It looks like bits of blue here and there. 

But I'm not an expert, and the images are a little blurry, so maybe someone who is will chip in with a view. Good luck

I've had a couple of pages from the run, and they didn't have this blue tint to them.  It makes me think that these are blueline inks over a scan of the pencils.  I'd pass on it without getting artist confirmation it's legit.

If Marwood is able to find a scan of the original pencils, then who’s to say there aren’t more scans or pencil-only pages out there that anyone, especially professional inkers, can download or scan and print out blue line copies to ink as practice?

I'm 99.9% sure that it's not authentic. Joe and Jimmy signed all the pages. All the DD pieces I have/had never had the blue tint. Pass on it.

I found one of those in a Montreal comic shop.
