My Marvel Mystery 16 has the same distributor marking as those two books, but with staple holes:

I'm not claiming any kind of hand writing expertise, but it appears all three of these books were handled by the same distributor as the "M" has a very unique signature style that starts from the right, moves left then crosses through the letter.  As for the staple holes, that's a head scratcher.

It looks like someone stapled a note on MM#16, but being that the HIT is from a different publisher my suspicion is that none of these are File Copies.  hm

These two Batman's were purchased in 1966 from Cherokee Bookshop in Hollywood.  Burt had a whole box of $1 Batman Comics, so I bought a few.  The others have been sold over the years, but I noticed a few years ago that both of these have the same arrival markings.  I wish I had known enough to ask Burt where he got these books.  I'm sure there are others with these markings...in fact, maybe Robotman has some...hm

I probably do but have never noticed. I was primarily buying ECs and PCH not DCs at the time.

I thought my Superman 6 might be from a pedigree collection due to the "PN" on the cover.  What do you think?

There were some Larson's with a PN code (also ON), but I've seen a number of other books with PN.  IIRC it was for the distributor "publisher's news", but don't quote me on that.
