All, looking at these on my monitor, they look too "white"....even washed out a bit. On my phone, they do NOT look like this. I believe I need to refine my monitor settings because that dust shadow on the right edge of the Jughead is obvious on my phone, but faint on the monitor. Any feedback for me to be sure I don't need to head back to the scanner and redo? Thanks in advance on this.

They look maybe a tad overexposed on my monitor (though not significantly). I've found in general, I have to do some combination of lowering the exposure and/or highlights and raising the contrast and/or saturation to get close to what a book looks like. Either on the scanner settings or after scanning (sometimes both). As has been pointed out, display settings can effect the perception greatly.

Display settings are pretty key. If everyone has a slightly different display setting it doesn’t much matter what the color/white level of the scans look like on your monitor. It’s not something under your control.

True, but I'm willing to bet most monitors are left at factory preset.

I’d agree, but the differences between laptops, phones, and LCDs on factory presets can give very different results.
