Since we've been clogging up the Copper Age Forums and other threads here, with newies pics, I thought we should have our own thread to showcase some Modern Newsstand Comics. All are welcome. :sumo: Raw or graded alike. I'll start the ball rolling with a couple of Spidey's.

Would you be willing to trade the #600 for an ASM 700 9.8 blue label newsstand?

The 600 9.8 is long gone. I just have 2 9.6 left.

Gotcha.  What do you value a 9.6 at?  Would you prefer $ or a trade for other newsstand slabbed?  Here's some of what I have available for trade/sale:

ASM 500 CGC 9.4 Blue label Newsstand

Man of Steel #18 CGC 9.8 Blue label Newsstand

ASM 700 CGC 9.8 Blue label Newsstand

ASM 600 CGC SS 9.8 Alex ross cover, Alex ross sig.

Those are some incredibly awesome newsies!  Do you have any idea why sometimeS CGC designates the variants as newsstand and other times it doesn’t?

BTW, interested in sale or trade?

They will designate it as a newsstand if it’s got a different price than the direct edition. There’s other reasons they will but that’s the main one.

On a related note, do you suppose anyone would know first and most recent newsies?

First newsstands were all comics really

first direct market only book was Dazzler 1 (at least for marvel)

There are some titles that started newsstand distribution after the first issue (like Dazzler, actually :smirk:), but it is far, far, far, far more common for a title to cease newsstand distribution than start it late.
