It’s going to my presser so all press-able defects will be go and the top staple will be realigned.  Are you saying that’s the limit in grade for the color?

The tanning seems like a non-issue here, unless you are seeing tanning on the inside covers worse than the covers suggest. There are some small color-breaking creases at the corners though, and a bit of reading crease. I'd guess that after careful pressing you'd be looking at 7.0 to 7.5 range.

Reference the Heritage permanent auction archives, searching for the Mannarino collection books, and also the books of the Saginaw pedigree. A great many of these books are very low as far as wear, just gorgeous books structurally, but have varying degrees of edge tone/tan. Study the images. The have an wonderful zoom feature that will allow you to carefully examine the books as if you had the book in hand and an eye loupe.

If you're not already registered for the site, do so, and you'll be able to avail yourself of all the features. It doesn't cost anything, no histrionics or commitments, and you won't have to perform an interpretive dance.

You can get an excellent idea of how the different stages of tone/tan impact CGC grades when wear considerations are not the primary issue!
