I got the first Uncanny X-Men Masterworks (which I think was #11 overall) for my birthday the year it came out. I eventually got it signed by Claremont and Cockrum. I don't have a lot of the stuff that I owned at that age, but I've never let that book out of my sight.

this is her opening day April 5th 1980. Still there and still looks like that. The next picture is her now

Back in 1965 I stopped collecting comics at the age of 15. When I got back into comics in the early to mid seventies and starting to attend SDCC, this picture was taken as I resumed collecting with an interest in science fiction but particularly Infantino's work on Flash and Adam Strange.

Now I'm pushing 70 in a few days and wondering where the time went, but  it has been a fantastic ride. These old photos are a trip down memory lane. Thanks for posting them.

Great photo Mark. Sometimes, it’s hard to remember we were that young huh? Love the framed DCs in the upper right corner. And the vinyl...
