sending cgc slabbed books in for signing and reslabbing 3 3

Just wondering about some books I planned to send to the Mcfarlane signing.

I have a couple CGC 9.8 books I want to get cracked, signed and reslabbed. If I send down graded 9.8s what is the probability they will come back 9.8?

CGC cannot guarantee a 9.8 grade since your books would be regraded after the signing. Make sure to include your 9.8 CGC blue label in the bag and board with the book. If it's a CGC Signature Series label, do not crack the book before sending in. Thanks

I  was told I could send it in the slab and it would be cracked for a 5.00 fee. Is this true?

There is no option on the online form. CGC will add the charge to the invoice they send you.

Follow up question on this subject. Does a window bag still need to be included in the package if we're sending in a slab to be cracked and signed?

Hello! No, if a book is coming in already slabbed for a signing we will crack it, and then place it onto a board, and then into window bag.
