All the major auctions are done for the year, plus i'm off, with nothing else to do today so why not? That the one i finally nabbed is a Centaur also is icing on the cake! This was the longest bidding battle for a book i have ever had on CC. I thought the extended bidding would never end. From the GA tour collection, Star Comics #12. Don't think there is a Mile High for this one. It’s always hard to choose only three, but I’ll throw these three out there as important WWII cover acquisitions in 2019. Three and two were targets I identified going into 2019, the top pickup by far was one that I had no idea I would ever get a chance at. Number 3 is Master Comics 21, a classic war cover and a book I first saw in the 70’s and never thought I would own. I bought it as a 6.0 restored with a small amount of color touch. CCS brought it back to original state at 5.5 and I couldn’t have been happier. The lighting is a little different, but it is the same book!
