IIRC this service isn't currently being offered.

Ok shame. So basically you have to crack open your slabs (PGX, CBCS) yourself and send them to CGC?

If you have old CGC slabs and hand to have them slabbed do you use the Reholder service?

Thanks

You can send the comics in their current slabs to CGC and they will crack them for you.

And, yes, the re-holder service is for comics you simply want a new case for.

Thanks for the info.

Is there a chance CGC will downgrade from an old case? Meaning they grade again when re-holdering.

There is a chance, although it is rare.  If the case is extremely damaged, or the grade of the book is at a glance OBVIOUSLY a different grade than the one posted, OR they accidentally damage the book during the crack/reslab, they could select to regrade it.  But generally, they're not trying to do extra work that you're not paying for.  You can check out their website or contact them for more info on it.
