I got this at a charity auction at a small local show in 1992 where David Lapham and Jim Shooter were promoting the new Defiant book, Plasm. I paid wayyyyyy too much for it, but what did I know?

 

The piece measures about 12.5" X 11".

This is the ad that ran in Tales to Astonish 59, promoting the Hulk's ongoing series to begin with issue #60. It's the hulk image from the cover of Hulk #1 redrawn to eliminate the image of Banner.

 

I also probably paid too much for it, but I thought it would go well with my splash page from #60.

 

I would like to get more early Marvel promo art, especially one of the ads for Amazing Adult Fantasy, the magazine that respects your intelligence!
