Totally agree.  Still waiting for someone to list a Cerebus 1 on ebay .... it will go for an insane amount.

Someone did. It only went for $350.

Sold in under a minute. I saw it at minute two.

So, since this thread started, do we have any more than 2 members?

Since, I started this thread, membership into the club has gotten incredibly hard since prices for all 3 books have skyrocketed...

If someone tried to buy all 3 books, would you need like 30k just to get entry level copies?

These are our illustrious members in this elite club so far.

Not at all surprised that the counterfeits would be worth something in the marketplace, especially considering that there seems to be more authentic #1 than there are counterfeit #1, as far as I can tell at least.  hm

Just not sure if they should be worth $1K though.  (shrug)

Does anybody here have any idea as to how many counterfeits are out there or what the print run was?  ???

Wait a minute.. a Cerebus 1 9.6 exists now!?!?!?  SS series on this census?

It was added to the CGC Census on December 3, 2019.

That's crazy no one has talked about.  I thought the highest ever was a 9.4 for the longest time.

Right, I don't remember seeing it mentioned. It was in position #106 on the 2019 "new highest grades" list: http://www.cgcdata.com/cgc/newmore/2019

But the 2020 list would have started just a few weeks later, so it probably went unnoticed.

Holy moly, the 9.2 counterfeit Cerebus 1 sold for $900!

I thought the $900 was the initial Buy It Now price and is it possible the seller took a lower Offer price on the book?  ???  (shrug)

That WAS my book and it sold for $900 confirmed and shipped to Thailand! (who knew)

I'm happy still with my original CGC 6.5 copy so I have no regrets.

I did post on the Cerebus appreciation thread as well as the Original Art thread.  I figured that since we weren’t selling Gerhard’s copy of Cerebus #1, it didn’t warrant a mention here

I hope people enjoyed watching the sale event and gained some insights on Cerebus and Gerhard that they wouldn’t have otherwise.

And, we tried to be reasonable on the pricing of pages so that fans could walk away with something   Given that we sold all 30 lots, maybe we were too reasonable!

Hopefully we’ll do another event next year.   We had planned to do this last year, but then... 2020.
