Hello,

I've had a couple of WWII cover ACs for a years and I'm considering sending them off to be graded.

The covers have creases, but wonderful color.

There is a big crease on the back cover. It isn't ripped, but it looks like a rip in the photo.

Any opinions on if pressing / dry cleaning would be beneficial vs detrimental?

Thanks

Thanks, would a press / dry cleaning improve the grade?

I don't think so since the defects that bring down the grade are the missing pieces on the corner and the staple tears, none of which are rectified through a press. Pressing is more for folds and such, which is not the biggest issue your book.
I too would say 4.0-4.5

I grade this book: AWESOME!

A press could remove the slight spine roll, and might also make it look a little better in a slab.  I'm not sure I'd have it done though.  It's not that severe.

See, that's the same grade I gave it!

I bought these about 10 years ago and never thought about having them graded until recently.  They are probably worth getting protected at this point!

The tiny wrinkle in the tank (center of book) may be made WORSE by a pressing.  Not sure if that would come out correctly.  The other light kinks around Supe's right fist would probably go away.  Things to ponder...
