I believe the Universal Postal Union is a starting point for the inequalities that exist, coupled with Chinese government subsidies cleverly disguised as "how we work out what it costs to send junk out". There is a Quora article that goes some way to explain.

In a nutshell, "all countries should handle mail from other countries without additional charge (to the sender or receiver) and that they should pocket the money they themselves charge for shipment to other countries. This was made in the 1800s to make it easier to send letters across the globe, removing the need to have stamps for all countries it passes through, or special agreements between every nation."

So once a parcel leaves China and enters another country's Postal Service, it becomes their delivery problem - no payment by China to any other mail carrier.

It (the agreement) needs reviewing.

I have the Nectar phone app which gives you extremely generous bonus points on cheap £1 to £2 items at Sainsburys. 300’s peanuts these days. Literally... I get 100 points on a jar of own-brand peanut butter.

Trout and onion sandwiches for dinner again, yuk!

Fortunately, both items were for the in-laws (I've been doing their shopping for 3 flippin months now). I'm a cheese and tomato man myself

Tim Smith, the lead singer of Cardiacs, has died aged 59

(here be dragons)

Hail majestic corporate light
Heaven born and ever bright
How our spirit like the waves
As the breath of thine awakes
And now the night of weeping shall be
The morn of song
Ah! We are those whose thunder shakes the skies
The thin spun life

Home of fadeless splendour
Of flowers that bear no thorn
Here may the blind and hungry come
And light and food receive
Here mighty springs of consolation rise
To cheer the fainting mind
And re-creation find

So overcome thy fear
And burst into sudden blaze
Come blind fury with abhorred shears
And slit the thin spun life
Ah! Sobbing with their human sort of wail
Thy justice fear

Walk in shadow, walk in dread
Loosefish walk as like one dead
One drop in a winter sea
No more to rise forever
Anything down there about your souls
Will smash the sun alight
Ah! Yield week in, weak out from morn to night
Feelers from across the sea
Come crawling over thee

One drop in a winter sea
No more to rise forever
One drop in a winter sea
No more to rise forever
Come blind fury with abhorred shears
And slit the thin spun life
Ah! Sobbing with their human sort of wail
The thin spun life
We are those whose thunder shakes the skies
Whose eyes this atom globe surveys
Thy justice fear
Hooray!

Ok, I really want to sell this comic for four and a half grand. What should I put in the title I wonder....?

That should get their attention. I mean three quid is three quid.

Now, I think something about the condition in the description might help it to sell. Let's check this Overstreet thing out.... Right... I see. Fine, Near Mint. Riiiight. I think I see what's needed here.

I can never understand the thinking of someone selling a comic for £4,450 asking another £2.95 postage. Surely you’d dangle the carrot of free postage that would have swung it for me, if I hadn’t blown my budget on those Marvel   Tales.

OK, I've looked at this too long now to be able to tell, but is Spidey's left hand on backwards here or what?

"Nothing can stop Hulk pointing out the missing blue on bug man's right arm, nothing!"

Not on backwards, but definitely twisted beyond what looks particularly comfortable...
