I know this thread is in GA, but it seems strictly for GA books.

I'm curious too see what your best and fav comics are

Doesn't neccesarily have to be the same book

And a little back story as to why they are your favorite.

I'll go first

I am valuing the Teen Titans as my best(value) because of the signatures, it is a pretty awesome book.

New Mutants 98 is my favorite book (and arguably my most valuable) because I love Deadpool, I upgraded from two super awesome guys on the boards! (Mucho Gracios)

my ASM 1 - that I got personally signed by Stan Lee and got to meet him... I got the book for a great price and have been happy ever since. I had a whole experience of going down to Fan Expo for his last Canadian Appearance lining up for hours just to take a pic with him and the book and line up again to get him to sign it got to shake Stan's hand and all. Also during the line up I had awesome conversations about the book and a few people wanting to take pics of it , felt like a celebrity even if it was just for a moment .. but it was a great experience and I will never forget it. 

I've left it in purple for awhile now and dont really have plans to try to remove the restoration unless one day I decide to sell it, but I think this one I will hang on to till I am ready to kick the bucket if my future kids aren't into comics.. To much sentimental value to me. also hasn't been pressed or cleaned either, but doubt it might bump the grade but would help the eye appeal.

Sorry for the yellow lighting was a really old pic  and had those overhead lights above the colours are much better I will one day get around to taking out a good pic of it

Thanks, yeah I was so pumped and nervous at the same time it was surreal, but wow it was a great day.. nervous when I left it with the Anastasia dude as I think he was the one co ordinating for Stan Lee and CGC SS at least he pulled me to the front of his line when he saw my what I wanted to CGC SS...but if I had to re-live a day again it would be that day... I barely ate my McMuffin on the Go train was just full or energy and we were rushing ,so we wouldn't miss our time slot to take a pic with Stan

I cannot narrow my favorites to one or two books, numerous books have sentimental value and bring back memories of my childhood when things/times were much simpler.

This book is the one that when I saw the cover for the first time in 65 made me say...WOW!!!, that was my beginning into the world of Marvel Comics.

Sure!

The FF 1 is just a boring Ol’ LCS upgrade. I traded in my first copy and some cash, back in the (guessing) late 90s. The fun part is that my friend Mike F. bought the undercopy, so I can still visit it! 
FF annual 6 has almost always been my favorite, so back when they were cheap, I’d pick up any copy I saw. I used to give them away to comic book friends who had never read it! I had nine or ten at one point, but now I’m down to 3 originals, and 3 or 4 giant-size reprints.

For most valuable, I have a laundry list of your average "collection" fodder like ASM 300, a newsstand Spawn #1, some earlier ASM issues (no mega keys), Batman 251, Marvel Preview 7. I suppose one of these would be my most valuable. Really though, I don't have a comic that solely exceeds $400-500. I grew up a 90s kid collecting Silver and Bronze age stuff so really I have only been able to expand my budget in the last decade since I graduated university and have a steady job.

As for favourite, every issue in my collection means something to me. I love my treasuries, I love my record comic combos, I love my Moon Knight, my DD, my ASM. I love my double cover Ms. Marvel and I love my random horror and war issues. I love a lot of stories and individual books for different reasons (the art, the story, both). I love my small Golden Age collection, mostly LB Cole stuff. 

Probably my top though is my ASM 97. Signed by Stan Lee, interior page signed by Gil Kane. Missed a recent opportunity to have signed by John Romita but I am making it my resolution to do that this year.

Great choice.  One of the few Silver Age comics I have.

Pretty much my introduction to that period of Marvel  as well.  My second purchase following FF 20 in summer 1977.

I've since replaced that poor condition copy, long gone, with an 8.5 white pager.

Not my most valuable, but certainly my favorite. Signed my Marie on the cover. Her signature took quite a hit after she had a stoke so I bought the card to go with it. Can’t believe my favorite isn’t by the King.

went to the Motor City Comic Con a couple years ago ,,.. went to Dale Roberts booth and was checking out and marveling at all his wall books ...

i asked him if he had any Sugar and Spike comics , he said sure and showed me the box . and then he said Oh did you see the #1 on the wall?

i had looked right through it  always been a holy grail of mine , used my CC and bought it right there ...sent it to CGC and got a 3.5
