I'll be listing about 22 books today.

Most are Golden Age with a few Silver Age sprinkled through. I usually just list alphabetically unless I accidentally skip something.

Some of them are from the Evelyn collection and fairly scarce, so as usual, I'm guessing on some of the prices. If I am off feel free to make an offer (up or down;)

Some of these books I've had for at least 15 years, some I purchased last year, but I've made a few purchases recently and I want to be able to bid in an upcoming auction, so I made some choices;) (like we all do:)

Most of these were slabbed by me, so if you want the graders notes, let me know and if I have them, I'll post them. I posted the notes for restored books, but the others are pretty common comments.

I usually think CGC's grading is a bit higher than mine, but this batch was pretty tightly graded in comparison to prior submissions, but take a look at the books and decide.

I'm using a fairly old slab scanner, so the colors might be brighter in person. I will add a cell photo for any book if requested.

Payment is expected within 5 days, if you cannot make payment within 5 days please contact me before posting a take it. Reasonable time payments are possible, but we must agree to them prior to posting a  :takeit:

First  :takeit:here or in a pm wins, if there is no way to determine the time, then the one on the boards wins.

I accept Paypal, checks, or MO's. Every few sales I suggest something like diamond earrings...I've never got an offer for diamond earrings, but that's always something I'd consider (maybe;) please don't raid your wife's jewelry box and blame me;)

I ship anywhere, and I charge exact shipping. I prefer to double box slabs, but I'm OK if you really really want me to stuff the book in a Medium FR box.

I ship priority mail unless you are in Canada. If you are in Canada, I will ship first class (up to 4lbs) but anything over $200 to Canada needs a signature or a waiver from you. If you want to risk no signature it's OK, but my insurance only covers up to $200 without a signature. I pay for private insurance.

My house is smoke free (Lizards can laugh now;)

Returns for any reason, just notify me within 3 days of receipt. These are all slabbed, so return shipping is at the buyer's cost.

No list people please.

Detective Comics #77 CGC C-1 5.0 S B. From the Evelyn Collection.sold to Sauce Dog,

This is a great cover, one of the few Detectives I kept because I liked the cover.  Robin in a bottle...instead of some ordinary "hot babe" type in a bottle;)

I had this book slabbed, the pages seemed fine and I looked. I don't see a notation in the notes about slightly brittle, so I can only think it's the lower left corner or so "slight" I didn't notice.

Bin $275

Grader Notes:
Color touch (Non-archival material small areas) Bottom Front Cover C-1
Color touch (Non-archival material small areas) Left Bottom Front Cover C-1
Tear seals to cover (Non-archival material) Left Center Front Cover C-1
multiple tape interior cover
split bottom of spine
tape centerfold
tape top of interior spine

Smoke free, Yes

However, the sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies or brownies often fills the air

Wow - I must be the crank of the boards.  And Sha must have the memory of a sharp, sharp elephant.

Since we're on my crankiness, I thought I'd throw in a new Public Service Announcement on Collection Cleanliness, or my anti-cootie tirade.  My newest beef is the comic bags and boards that come in on my purchases..., certainly not the ones from you, Sha, though, as you gets it.  :preach:

What is up with the toasted comic bags, covered with glue, stickers, sticker residue, tape, tape residue, snot, boogers, bile, Krispy Kreme donut slop, Dorito powder, bacon, eggs, dog hair, pubic hair AND stuff I'm afraid to identify in mixed company?  Are these battle scars from convention traveling, OR...., what???  And the backing boards - some have off-gassing from sitting in a garage for 20 years, and most are corner dunned, creased, yellowed to high heaven?

No one wants to receive additions to their prized collection in this junk.  And finally, wash your hands once in a while!  Have some pride people!!!  :foryou:
