Good to know.

However this is not a political thread and because the legality concerns collectables, especially those that order higher dollar items, I would say this is of great interest. 

As many of us know, high dollar items carry a different threshold of insurance than low dollar. Each threshold of insurance within the USPS carries a specific series of tracking numbers and they come with a different set of instructions.  Those tracking numbers are easily discernible to anyone working in a mail handling facility.  This goes on with most carriers.  For example, I always found it odd that the ComicLink Orders that Fed Ex signed for "and left on the wrong stoop" and the order that they 'lost' somewhere on Long Island were both high dollar parcels worth a few thousand each.   It took a lot of phone calls to get them back. 

I am curious to see how this plays out.  Maybe there will be a bit more internal monitoring over what carriers have access to, how they handle it, and who processes it.

Right!

For one thing I cant imagine a "pokemon " card would be worth anything of that magnitude.  If I were to buy something that expensive I would have traveled to get it.

I have the rarest of all Pokeyman cards-it was issued inside a special copy of Action #1 much like a Mark Jewelers insert.

It's off craigslist now but was still on there a few weeks ago. I'm guessing he gave up trying to sell it.
