Pressing for 9.8s 0

Hey,

I was wondering....

Is it worth pressing a never before read, brand new comic? I had two books that I could have sworn up and down were 10.0s. Obviously I'm exaggerating. They were definite 9.8s to me. But came back 9.2 and 9.4, key issues of course with 5 signatures a piece. 

Would you press to get that 9.8 in on both?

Without knowing the graders notes its hard to say.

Chances are the issues are not gonna be helped with a press though.

I'm assuming these are moderns & not older books

I had some fresh off the shelf books pressed once by the best presser in the game in Hope's of 9.9 but they still came back 9.8 

 

I also subbed another of the same book without a press. Also came back 9.8 

 

Sometimes it helps depending on the book and sometimes it doesn't.

If they were signed, then that means they were handled in some way (and 5 times for your case), so since a 9.8 is usually the best you get if no one touched it, the grades you got back make some sense. Also, not sure if pressing a book with a bunch of signatures is a good idea.
