The Definitive Top 3 Characters You Want In Your Corner Thread... with a Catch (Read OP)

Think through this one... e.g., Thanos is a beast, but he may also harbor his own agenda + doesn't follow orders (and if you add Warlock, bad history).  Hulk may not give a damn about coordination.  Supes might prove too morally inflexible.  Galactus may decide he'd rather eat your planet.

1). Professor X -- the right mix of psionic supremacy and pragmatism.

2). Smart Hulk -- most of the game-changing benefits of Hulk without many of the drawbacks.

3). Iron Man -- adaptable, near-limitless resources, can function in any environment.

In hindsight, I see this is an extremely intelligent dream team to boot, minus any tunnel vision.

Taking the entire character into context is a good premise, rather than an all-out, "which brawn would you want to align with?"

  1. Doctor Doom. I think that we see eye-to-eye.
  2. Shazam (the real Captain Marvel). Someone on the power level of Superman that I could manipulate.
  3. Iron Man. We would be bros.

I was gonna say Magneto, but he hates sapiens...

Great thread. But if they are truly in “my corner” then wouldn’t they be cooperative? Perhaps even at my command?

1. Dr. Manhattan to mold the world to my desire.

2. Time

3. Death

Is that cheating?

How about...

1. Reed Richards to pick my stocks and lottery numbers.

2. Wolverine as my body guard head of security.

3. Vampirella to fulfill my....well....

So what does “my corner” mean? I assume they wouldn’t stab me in my back?

All very good choices.

Though I do remember Doc disintegrating Rorschach and Marvel Death leaving Thanos high and dry and Vertigo Death very much being a lone wolf type.  :D

Honestly, a choice like Manhattan would make everyone else superfluous. If I could talk him into wearing pants, we’d be a pretty entertaining duo at your neighborhood pub crawl.

The One Above All would beat your :censored:, Ken, for your attitude here.

More likely for posting several satanic-tinged Ghost songs in the "Comic Books That Rock" thread.
