CGC Case Sealed OVER/AROUND the Comic ? 0

Has anyone seen this before? It looks like the lower seal went OVER/AROUND the comic book. What kind of damage does this do to the comic? Or is the bottom not sealed? First time seeing this..

I've seen this before and it's usually not good.

Did you submit this? If so - call CGC.

What kind of slab is that? Where's the upper CGC insert? How about a shot of the entire book?

ouch... I've seen it where the book has slipped to the bottom of the case, but with that inner well.. ouch.. 1000% call CGC hope your book isn't damaged..

That's how the comic was made. Front and back in a real slab looks like this:

Thanks for all the responses. Here is a picture of the full book. Sounds like from the comments, this book is no longer a 9.8...

I'd request a reholder. As long as the book hasn't been damaged, it should only cost $15 plus the usual associated fees...

How did this happen?

If it happened in shipping, does CGC take responsibility for it?

Never seen that before. 

If it really was misaligned in the inner well, then that seal will have affected the book in some way. If perhaps the inner well didnt seal the book probably slipped out, and should be fine as long as shaken syndrome hasn't taken place
