DETECTIVE STORY MAGAZINE, DECEMBER 1930. Striking "oriental menace" cover, with some similarity to a few of the earliest pre-Batman Detective Comics covers. Some chips and fraying on the overhang edges, but the image area and spine are beautiful for a 1930 pulp and extremely so for a black cover. Surprisingly nice offwhite pages. Maybe the only copy you'll ever see, as I've owned it 10 years and never seen another. $275 + ship.
