Having just recently started reading the Him/Adam Warlock/Space Jesus stuff, I’m left wondering if another character had as many cameos, reappearances,

« deaths » as Warlock... there are at least 4 cocoon cameos before Thor 165, right?

I was going to say Venom also.  What about Ben Reilly?  There were a lot of one panel, mysterious shots of him before it was established that there were two individuals claiming to be Peter Parker.

He first appeared in ASM 149. :gossip:

He might be in the running for longest buildup for a returning character, though there are some other contenders.

her into was a few teasers, it was a joke that they kept missing eachother and you didn't see her full appearance for a while. But yeah, aside from a stint where she went away to become an actress she did indeed become a mainstay, I was thinking more of the tease part.
