Yes.

oh man I click baited those boxes... :roflmao:they were empty..

it's perfectly ok to buy and sell hype it's all based on a transaction that both parties agree too. only time not cool if you force someone to do something they don't want to by holding hostage something or threatening them..

Some people like hype things, some don't either way it's all gravy baby...

I like nostalgia and sometimes I buy the story with the item.

There is nothing in either of those spoiler tags... I am confused...

I mean, it's "okay" for buyers and sellers to do whatever. I wouldn't buy hype. I don't sell comics, either.

Yes.

It was actually an accident, so I replied in white.  I’m an insufficiently_thoughtful_person.

I mean who is actually buying these books? It can't be collector's since we are notorious for paying as little as we possibly can so who it it?

Spec drek flippers, so-called "investors", etc.

Usually - not always - the brainless ones.

I will concede that newer collectors may be drawn to a story based on whether a movie they enjoyed was inspired by a certain run. Like Thor: Love and Thunder may attract people to the Lady Thor runs (although they're garbage IMO).

Basicallyyyyyyyy...

Don't buy hype.

I have a stack of The Human Fly marvel comics in my bathroom on the crapper.  They’re starting to stink but are a good read/art by Bill Milanto. When is a good time to sell these? Movie announcement?

If slabbed to increase retail  value does the aroma stay in the slab forever?

Human Fly book isn't bad. Bill Milanto (SP?) did good stuff. Shame what happen to him.

Come on, I'm not the only one that keeps comic books in the bathroom to read during long stints on the throne.
