Witty Comics #2 1945 Chicago Nite Life News Pubs

One of those totaly weird GA books! What a wild cover. Kid watching as a dead body falls out of a closet! Even the dog looks surprised. Even has a superhero story, The Pioneer.

Sadly, the centerfold is missing and there is a couple nasty tape pulls on the back cover. Single staple is popped and book is very neatly detached from cover. All that being said, a very well presenting book with full cover, no tears or creases to speak of an supple paper.

You wouldn't believe what I paid for a 7.0 Berk copy that replaced this one. No whining...you are buying this totaly weird book for the cover anyway, aren't you?

Was $50.   Now $45.

Samson #12 (#1) 1955 Ajax/Farrell

Unusual short run title. One of the last of the GA superheroes that gave up the game just before Showcase #4 came on and started the SA. Probably one of the last Farrells.

Lots of old water damage on this one. Has all over light staining, rusty staples and rippling. Book is still attached to the covers barely. Colors are bright and no real significant tears or creases. No pieces missing. Interior pages look real nice though with no staining and supple.

Was $35.   Now $30.

Blue Beetle #35 1944 Fox Pubs

Very cool issue. Full of violence and murder. Broken out and listed in Overstreet as "extreme violence". He ain't kidding. Even has an early cocaine story not listed as such!

Sadly, a bit of a beater, reading copy. Covers are split and detached. They are missing some edge peices. Back cover is missing the most. Nothing that affects the art that much though. Interior is fine. Clean and un-damaged and tightly bound.

Was $45.   Now $40.

Early 1940's Speed Comics mail away club pin. "Shock Gibson Live Wires Speed Comics Volunteers". 1-1/2" oval cello. For those of you like me, that collect this title, you know how hard and how expensive these are to get. How many of you have one of these or ever seen one? They are small and issued in small numbers during war time. Not a lot made and a lot of kids lost them right away. Like "hens teeth" kids!

Pin is real nice shape for what it is. Has a very light discoloring in center of yellow background. No cracks, chips, fading and has original pin on back. Sorry for the glare on edges. Hard to photo. Would be an incredible addition to your Speed collection...

Was $225.  Still $225. Super rare, I should actually raise it)

Supersnipe V4#5 1948 Street & Smith Pubs

Great skiing cover. "The boy with the most comic books in America". I'd sure like to hit his stash... These are fun and a bit overlooked. Fun read for those who actually do this.

Book has a neat 1-1/4" tear through entire book at spine at about the center point. Has a few light creases and just light general wear otherwise. Everything well attached and nice off white interior paper.

$20.
